Circo Interior Bruto

The Circo Interior Bruto [Interior Rought Circus] was a collective of twelve artists of diverse origins that between 1999 and 2005 developed their activity in a self-managed space in the Lavapiés neighborhood of Madrid. The project arose as a direct response to the lack of interiority, brutality and circus spirit in the art of the moment, and involved a collective learning and research in scenic works between performance, humor, visual-phonetic poetry and games.

In 2017 we met again, presenting Prometheus Bound at Teatro Pradillo and Thus spoke Zaratrusta at Matadero Madrid. We are currently working on a creation laboratory and public show for the exhibition Acción at MACBA, Barcelona.Visit our website

Research and action group on education, art and cultural practices

(MdG 2010-nowadays; PPP 2010-2015)

Research and debate project on critical pedagogies and cultural practices. Regular meetings are held opened to the participation of teachers, artists, students and those interested in education, in which indispensable texts on critical pedagogies are discussed, different practices being carried out to national and international level are disclosed and analyzed, experimental materials which could be used as teaching resources in educational settings both formal and non-formal are disseminated and made accessible, and debates and proposals for new strategies to reformulate educational practices of teaching which employs visual communication are raised.
